Canal Park Opens in Dundas

Aug 22, 2016

A dedication ceremony on August 20th officially opened a new Hamilton Conservation Authority park on the former site of the Veldhuis Greenhouses in Dundas. Canal Park sits next to the Desjardins Canal and is another key link in the Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark System. The site has already been restored with plantings of shrubs and trees and a chimney stack was retained during demolition of the buildings to provide a nesting site for chimney swifts.
