Community Stewardship Day - October 26, 2013

Nov 11, 2013

On October 26th, ten volunteers and four staff braved very wet weather to help restore a former creek in the Nicholson Resource Management Area in Dundas. Together they removed buckthorn, an invasive species, and planted 124 trees and shrubs, 100+ dogwood stakes and nine litres of bur oak acorns. Thank you to everyone for contributing your hard work to restore this wonderful site! Thank you also to the Walmart-Evergreen Green Grants Program for providing funding for the restoration.
